Happy Father's Day!
It's occurred to me that I haven't posted my testimony here. Since it's one of the most important things in my life, and because I can, I'm going to share it with you.

First and foremost, without a doubt, I know that God lives and loves His children. I've learned this for myself. I know that He knows me personally, by name, and I know that he knows what I need better than I do. Knowing that makes it easier to trust Him and His will.

I know that one morning, almost 200 years ago, Joseph Smith went to the sacred grove with a question- which church, in the midst of so much religious fervor, should he join? He had the faith that made it possible for me to know today that God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ appeared to Him in that grove of trees. I know Joseph Smith was a Prophet of the Lord.

As a church, though, we do not worship Joseph Smith. We honor him and are grateful for what he did, but he is not Deity. We worship Jesus Christ, our Lord.

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true, and that come what may, it will still be true. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, written by His servents over a thousand years ago. I know that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me, and that my trials will work out for my good. Life isn't easy, mine included, but I know without a shadow of a doubt that Heavenly Father loves His children. He has not forsaken us. He will not forsake us.

How can I know this? How do I know this? I know this because I have felt the Spirit of God confirm it. It's true. It's always been true. It always will be true.

I'm not perfect, and I don't claim to be. I'm not even close. But God loves me anyway, and knows what's best for me, right now. His hand is working in my life. So today, on Father's Day, let's remember the Father that we all share.
